FORT SNELLING NATIONAL CEMETERY
ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA

PROJECT SCOPE:

  • 10,500 double-depth single-cavity burial vaults

PRODUCT PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Production of the vaults began at the Maiden Rock facility on July 28th and will be completed by November 8th, 2003

  • To accomplish this timeline, it required that a quantity equal to 156 single-cavity vaults be produced each day.

INSTALLATION TIMELINE:

  • Installation to be completed November 8th, 2003

OTHER:

  • To accomplish this objective Wieser Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc., with Steel Services, Inc., designed a twin-cavity burial vault forming system.  This system enabled Wieser to efficiently produce two castings a day from each form.  Once designed, Wieser Concrete Products, Inc., secured approval from the Veteran’s Administration to use this product.
