ADVANTAGES OF SLOPE BLOCK RETAINING WALLS

  • NO MORTAR – Simply stack blocks to build wall
  • SELF-SEATINGSLOPE BLOCKS unique designed “inverted V”-shaped top and bottom position themselves when stacking during installation.
  • TWO-INCH BACKSET COURSE – As SLOPE BLOCKS are positioned an automatic incline in the wall is developed (Approximately 17” off 90°).
  • PROMOTES WEEPAGE – No water build-up behind the wall means no frost heave to tip walls.
  • EASY CONSTRUCTION – Lightweight, only two concrete components to work with, easy to position to create straight or curved walls.
  • FOLLOW FLOW OF THE LAND – Can be easily stepped to conform to the natural lay of the land.
  • SPLIT BLOCK FACE – The natural textures and shadows create a pleasing appearance to landscape.
  • ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE

INSTALLATION

SLOPE BLOCKS is a gravity/interlocking system which resists the sliding action of the withheld earth. When properly installed on 6” compacted base course, 5 feet high walls can easily be built. For greater height walls, an increased incline or terraced design is used. In either case, no tiebacks are required. A granular backfill, within an envelope of filter fabric, is laid behind the wall to promote drainage. Decorative stones or top soil and turf are placed over the top of the drain field and rear portion of the top block, creating a pleasing finished wall. Request Info
