In the spring of 2006, the first robotic milkers in the state of Minnesota were installed at Goblirsch Dairy of rural Wabasso
(Redwood County). The two robotic milkers at Goblirsch Dairy were purchased used from a Wisconsin operation. They were then updated and
installed. Since that initial purchase, two additional robotic milkers have been added.
Matt and his brother, Nels, who run the 200-cow operation with their parents Bernard and Mary Clare and their uncle, Roger, were excited to
employ the new technology.
The robotic milking system is a milking station that enables cows to be milked anytime they want; each cow determines their own milking
schedule. This is unique to this milking innovation. On most dairies, the milking schedule is the same for all cows and set according to
the dairyman’s schedule.
These robotic milking systems required customization and it took some time, patience and innovation to create the perfect environment for their herd. Today, all the
Goblirsch milk herd go through the milking system a minimum of 2 times each day with some animals choosing to be milked up to five times a day.
This unique milking set-up was built on a Wieser Concrete Slatted Floor Manure Storage System. This storage system is 156' x 288' x 10' with a storage
capacity of over 3.2 million gallons.
On Saturday, June 7th, 2008, Goblirsch Dairy is opening their barn to the public for a Dairy Open Barn. From 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., visitors
will be able to tour this innovative facility.
Wieser Concrete is proud to be a part of this innovative dairy and we look forward to this open barn celebration!

Rotary International is the world’s first service club organization. Its more than 1.2 million members volunteer their time and
talent to further the Rotary motto, "Service Above Self".
The Rotary Club of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin volunteered their time and talent to add function to a local park by building a new
multi-purpose building on the grounds.
The park land is owned by Camp Wawbeek and offers outdoor experiences for the public and camp attendees.
The Rotary Club wanted to build a permanent, year-round, low-maintenance, multi-purpose building for the park that would provide space for
restrooms, park equipment storage and a concession area. With this in mind, it was determined that a 20' x 36' building would be sufficient to
meet the project goals.
Wieser Concrete assisted the park board and Rotary Club in designing a building that was functional and required minimal maintenance. The
final design specifications called for insulated precast building panels with exposed aggregate finish. These building panels created a strong, well-
insulated structure that would be easy to maintain, be accessible and user-friendly, and provide years of service for the camp.
All the building panels were manufactured to specifications at our precast facility and transported to the jobsite for installation when
site was ready. Installation crews erected the walls and secured the panels in one day.
The park now has the functional year-round park facility they needed thanks to the Rotary Club.
Wieser Concrete manufactures building panels for structures of every size. When you need a quality building that will
provide years of service, contact your nearest Wieser office and make it precast!
